Emerging Choreographers Project Application Fee
Emerging Choreographer’s Project will kick off our 13th season by providing both YDI Companies an opportunity to perform a new work created by an emerging choreographer. This project is hosted by Young Dancers Initiative and the work will be performed in YDIs’ annual December concerts.
Through the Emerging Choreographer’s Project we hope to give rising choreographers the opportunity to create and inspire a new generation of movers. The winner is provided a weeklong residency with advanced dancers, studio space, royalty free music to create a score, costumes, production, professional video of the piece, from YDI Artistic Staff, 2-4 performances of the work per season, tickets to concerts, and opportunities to teach company class. Housing may be provided for non-local applicants upon request by July 1st.
